This policy describes how Billowatt (https://billowatt.com) handles information when you use the site. The short version: we run a static informational website, we don't require accounts, and we collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

• No accounts, no forms. We don't ask you to register or submit personal information to use the site.
• Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Selections you make in our calculators and the bill analyzer (state, appliances, usage) are processed entirely on your device and are not transmitted to us. Preferences such as dark mode and cookie-consent choices are stored locally in your browser's storage.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data — IP address, user agent, requested pages — to serve and secure the site.
• Analytics. If enabled, we use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that measure aggregate page performance without tracking individuals across sites.

Advertising and cookies

Billowatt is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where required, we request your consent before any advertising cookies are set, and we signal your choice to Google via Consent Mode. Depending on your consent and region, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

• You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at optout.aboutads.info.
• You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which resets the consent banner.
